Rudolfo Roberto Pacheco

5-22-1959 ~ 1-30-2016

LAYTON – Rudy Pacheco passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep at home on Saturday, January 30, 2016.

He was born in Ogden, Utah to Bernall Pacheco and Mary G. Garcia.  They later divorced and he was raised by his father Raul Cabrera.

Rudy met Dorothy (Dottie) Alves his life partner in 1995 and together they created the event they were well known for his BBQ’s, rain, snow or sun he was barbequing.

He loved having people around him and we loved being around him.

Rudy was the most diehard Raider fan known to man.  He knew everything about the Raider Nation, so leave it to him to end his life journey on the day (56 years ago) the Raiders became a franchise.  The only thing Rudy loved more than BBQ’s, softball and Raiders were his kids, grandkids and family.

He loved and always told stories about his kids growing up, so much that I am sure we heard them a dozen times.  He had his grandkids over at least three times a week and spoiled every one of them. He NEVER missed a game, recital or birthday.

His sudden death has left us all lost and broken but he is with the person he adored most in his life, his mom Mary. We know he is in the best hands now dancing all over Heaven’s dance floor to the best Mexican music he loved so much.

Rudy is survived by his life partner Dottie, his children: Jason, Breanna, Brittney (Anthony) and Josh, step-children, Tito, Marc, Candy, brothers, Pete Pacheco, Marty (Isabelle) Cabrera, Jesus (Pancho) Cabrera, Randy (Natalie) Cabrera, sisters, Sandy (Jr.) Stotts, Ramona Cabrera and his most favorite uncle and partner in crime Ben Garcia who he lived for.

Rudy is preceded in death by his mother Mary, two brothers, Andy, Paul Pacheco, niece Destiny and grandparents.

One other thing our dad appreciated were his friendships so to his many friends we thank you for letting our dad be himself and feel so love.

So long for now Daddy.

GO RAIDERS.   Just win baby!
