Ruth L. Bradley
FARR WEST – Ruth Louise Bradley, 90, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Heritage Park Care Center in Roy, Utah.
She was born December 17, 1919 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, a daughter of William Thomas and Laura Louise Green Farrell. The family later moved to Norfolk, Virginia.
She met her future husband, Wendell R. Bradley in Norfolk, Virginia while he was serving with the U.S. Navy. They married on October 9, 1938 in South Mills, North Carolina. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Wendell preceded her in death in 2005.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she held many callings and enjoyed doing genealogy.
She retired from Hill Air Force Base following many years of service as a secretary in engine repair.
Ruth loved to sing and was very musically talented. Her passion was art and she had become an accomplished artist painting for over 40 years. Most of all she loved and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Jim (Irene) Bradley Pancho Murieta, CA; Tom Bradley, Salt Lake City; Pat (Craig) Calderwood, Fallon, NV; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Margaret Crawford, Roy; and Lucille Farrell, Suffolk, VA.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Saturday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
