Ruth Barnes Darr
LAYTON – Ruth B. Darr, 85, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010, from natural causes. She was born February 16, 1925 in Little Rock, Arkansas where she was adopted by Arnold and Jessie Barnes in Kaysville, Utah.
She graduated from Davis High School in 1943. After graduating Ruth worked at the Clover Club Chip Factory when it first opened in the 1940’s. She married Howard D. Darr on May 3, 1946 and was married for 28 years. Together they had four amazing sons. She loved visiting with friends, and had a love for her cats. She loved telling stories to her grandkids about how crazy her sons were when they were younger.
Ruth is survived by her three sons: Howard D,. retired military (Mikki) Darr, William S. (Helen) Darr and Jay Darr. She also had six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and son, Stanton.
Services will be held Thursday April 15, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main. Friends and family my call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary prior to services.
Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
