Ruth Adell Eschler
Ruth Adell Eschler, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born on January 1, 1927 in Grand Junction, Colorado, to Rudolph and Blanche Adell Criswell Walz. She was born and raised in Colorado and graduated from Grand Junction High School. She lived in California and has spent the last 32 years in the Ogden area, with most of those years living in Roy.
She married Thomas Neale Wooters Sr. on September 1, 1946 in Grand Junction, Colorado. They were later divorced. She married Melvin Jessop Eschler on August 29, 1956 in Ogden, Utah. They were able to spend 42 years together before Melvin passed away on May 17, 1999.
In 1976, Ruth was baptized and became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ruth devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, especially her selfless care of her son Gregory.
Ruth enjoyed spending time in the PTA at Terrace View Elementary and was a Colton High Band Parent.
She loved working on crafts whether it was using plastic canvas, doing needlepoint, crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed going bowling with friends and family.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Neale (Kathy) Wooters, Kingwood, Texas; Craig (Becky) Eschler, West Valley, Utah; Gregory Eschler, Clinton, Utah; and Victor (Kim) Eschler, Roy, Utah; daughters, Eloween Ivey, Roseville, California and Vicky (Scott) Healy, Kearns, Utah; 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; and sister, LaRue Wooters, Grand Junction, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her husband, grandparents, parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Country Pines Assisted Living and Symbii Hospice, especially Mary Hunt, for their love and kindness given to our mother.
