Ruth Ford

Ruth Evelyn Ford, 92, of Kaysville, Utah, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2018.

She was born on October 15, 1925 in East Los Angeles, CA; to Merlin Briggs Harrison and Lola Leila Harrison.  She grew up with three siblings: Jack, Bud and JoAnn.

Ruth married Leslie James Ford on March 26, 1945 in Los Angeles, CA.  They were later sealed in the St. George Temple.

She worked for the Highlander Newspaper in Hacienda Heights, CA for over 20 years.  She and her husband retired and moved to Kaysville, UT.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings.

Ruth was a beloved mother of four children; Jeanne (Mel) Peel, Sharon Allred, Vicki (Mark) Wisniewski, Loren (Julie) Ford; 18 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Crestwood Chapel, 1039 E. Crestwood Road, Kaysville, UT.  Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
