Ruth returned to teaching, educating hundreds of third graders at Layton and Burton Elementaries over the next 28 years until her retirement in 1981.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many of its auxiliaries, and in the Ogden and Bountiful LDS temples for 12 years.Ruth enjoyed traveling the world with her daughters and friends.
She is survived by her daughters: Katherine (Merrill) Stirling and Elaine (Jack) Palmer of Fruit Heights; Helen (Michael) Hough of Hawaii and Marilyn (Scott) Lloyd, of Kaysville; 21 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
