Ruth Mae Hood

Ruth Mae Hood OGDEN – Ruth Mae Hood, 86, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 in Ogden of natural causes. She was born March 15, 1924 in Ogden, a daughter of Fred Delos and Mable May Young Hood. Ruth worked as a lab assistant at St. Benedict’s Hospital, as a medical assistant for Drs. Pincock, Norris and McKee, and was a kit assembler/sample maker at Shepherd’s Bush. She was gifted in needlework, painting and ceramics. She was an excellent seamstress, a movie collector and loved animals, especially cats. Ruth’s favorite friends were the Paramedics and Fire Department – she joked that they were her “private chariot service”. She will be missed by her friends at Shepherd’s Bush, Stop-N-Shop, Smiths, and Blair’s Service. Thanks to the Weber M.A.C. program and The Gardens Assisted Living. Preceding Ruth in death were her parents. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
