LAYTON a€" Tepora Ruta Meha Nelson Ladue, 80, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Rocky Mountain Care in Clearfield.

Born September 28, 1927 in Waipawa, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, the daughter of Stuart Meha and Ivory Tepora Morris.

Married Nels Arthur Nelson on March 31, 1951 in New Zealand. He died March 20, 1969. Married Ralph Ellsworth Ladue, Jr. on June 1, 1979 and he also preceded her in death.

Ruth was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked at BYU Food Services, and BMC West in Orem, where she retired after 17 years.

Hobbies included knitting, crocheting, tatting, embroidery, crafts, gardening, eating fish ''n chips, traveling and reading.

Survived by son James Stuart Nelson and daughters: Tui Malinda Nelson Miller, Susan Marie Nelson Harrington, Luana Rose Nelson Au, Sharon Kay Nelson Clisby; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brothers John Meha and Apiata Meha and sister Hineapa Paewai.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to services at the mortuary.

Interment, Orem City Cemetery.
