Ruth Liberty-Ann (Raymond) Ranstrom

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - Ruth Ranstrom was born January 16, 1918 in Ashton, Idaho, a daughter of George and Maymie King Boylan.

Ruth married Filo Lewis Raymond and had three children, Kathaleen, Rod (RT) and Patricia (Patti). Filo passed away in 1983 after 49 years of marriage. In 1985 Ruth married Calvin Ranstrom and shared the love of three more children from his deceased wife Clara Ranstrom. Ruth and Calvin were together until he passed away in 1997 from Alzheimer''s.

Ruth was diagnosed with Dementia in 1999 and lived with her son RT and his wife Carole Raymond until May 2000 when RT passed away.

Patti and Sonny Taylor then moved Ruth to Colorado Springs, Colorado to reside with them and their two children Nikki and Travis. On Thursday, April 17, 2008, Ruth slipped peacefully away at the age of 90 at Colonial Columns retirement home in Colorado Springs, CO. Surviving are her two daughters Kathaleen Hunsaker and Patti Taylor, two son-in-laws Neal Hunsaker, Cecil P. Taylor III (Sonny) and daughter-in-law Carole Raymond, two grandchildren Nicole (Nikki) Taylor, Cecil P Taylor IV (Travis). Also surviving are her other loving children Richard Ranstrom, Irene Barnes, Janet Jorgesen and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren from her second marriage.

Friends may call at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Thursday from 2 to 2:45 p.m. where Holy Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Graveside services will then be held at 4 p.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
