Ruth Johansen Stewart, 92, passed away at home, Thursday, November 10, 2016 of natural causes.
Born April 26, 1924 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah the daughter of James and Sarah Barton Johansen.
Married Glen Stewart in 1948. Solemnized in Salt Lake Temple in 1954.
She worked at Clover Club Foods for 18 years.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband served a mission in the Atlanta Georgia Temple and as temple workers in the Ogden Temple.
She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and Layton Ladies Literary Club.
She is survived by her children Linda Stewart, Jeanine Stewart, Michael (Gail) Stewart, Valery (Bart) Flint, 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, plus two in the spring of 2017.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, one brother, one son and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Layton Angel Crossing Ward, 628 South Angel Street, Layton, Utah. Friends may visit family Saturday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Utah.
