RUTH WHITMAN HARRISON TAYLOR

1923- 2017

Ruth Taylor passed away peacefully on Friday night, March 3, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Salt Lake on April 6, 1923 to Alfred and Edrie Harrison.  She married Melvin Roy Taylor on January 16, 1948.

Ruth enjoyed life to the fullest and enjoyed being with her family.  She is survived by her husband, Melvin; children:  Leland, Linda (Robert) Streeter, JoAnn (Donald) Black, Sue Ure, brother Edward (LaRae) Harrison; 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Aleen Veenendaal, her parents and son-law Bernie Ure.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heart and Home Assisted Living and the hospice caregivers for their love and tender care. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Centerville Cemetery, 400 S. 700 E. Centerville.  Friends may visit the family on Monday, March 6 from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. in Bountiful. Interment Centerville City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
