Ruth H. Templeman

Ruth H. Templeman OGDEN – Ruth Helen Dickamore Benson Templeman, 87, died early Sunday morning, August 24, 2008 at her home of causes incident to age. She was born December 21, 1920 in Ogden, a daughter of William and Edna H. Rollins Dickamore. On September 2, 1943, Ruth married Frederick Oscar Benson in Ogden. Fred preceded her in death on November 22, 1959. She married Thomas B. Templeman on January 1, 1961 in Ogden. He died July 15, 2006. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved working in the temple where she served faithfully for many years. Ruth was a dedicated and loving caregiver to many children, especially her grandchildren. She gave much of her time to their growth and development and was a positive influence in their lives. Ruth loved helping and serving others, with the support of her husband Tom. Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Edward N. “Benny” Benson, North Ogden; Fred O. (Myrl) Benson, Stansbury Park; Christine Benson Olsen, Roy; Edna Benson (Blaine) Sparrow, Ogden; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Grant E. Dickamore and Henry J. Dickamore. Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands, Frederick O. Benson and Thomas B. Templeman, daughter, Emma Haven, daughter-in-law, Sharon Benson, four grandchildren, her parents, and nine brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Send condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com
