Ruth Mary Roghaar Wayment

Ruth Mary Roghaar Wayment passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at her home in Warren, Utah just in time to join her husband for his birthday. She was born on January 17, 1922 in Montpelier, Idaho to Lucas and Polly Elizabeth Roghaar.

Ruth married Owen Urry Wayment in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 15, 1944.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her home was a place of refuge and a haven of love and peace. She was filled with compassion and it was very common to find her busy serving her family and friends.

Ruth grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School. She graduated as president of her nursing class and worked for several years as a registered nurse. Ruth was an active member of Utah Daughters of Pioneers.

She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Over the course of her life, she served in numerous callings. Along with her husband, she served for several years in the Ogden LDS Temple. They also served as missionaries in the Jackson Mississippi Mission.

Ruth is survived by her five children, Timothy (Connie) Wayment, West Haven; Susan (LaVell) England, Warren; O. Scott (Susan)Wayment, Warren; Terry (Kathy) Wayment, West Point; Leasa Wayment, Plain City; 23 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She was an elect lady who was dearly loved and admired by all who knew her. The family wishes to recognize Hollie Creamer and Debbie Judkins for their devoted love and service.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Warren Ward Chapel, 856 North 5900 West, Warren. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
