Ruth Thornock Welker "Granny"
I was born, February 18, 1927 to Eva and Lloyd Evans,
I married Eugene Thornock (deceased) in 1943. We had two children: Robert (Bob) and Judy Lynn (Call) Dewey. I married Charles Welker (deceased) and spent many enjoyable years with him. I retired from the Weber County Assessor''s office where I worked more than 30 years and made many friends. I loved camping and fishing with my family up St. Charles canyon. Loved the Jazz and Nascar.
Gene and I had our two children: Bob (Debbie) Thornock and Judy Lynn (Doug) Dewey. I had seven very special grandchildren: Diana (Kyle) Richardson, Jolene (Brad) Marble, Jennifer (Scott) Mulvey, Joanna Harris, Andrew (Camilla) Thornock, Jennifer (Cameron) Call, and Angie (Scott) Blackwell.
They in turn gave me 14 great grandchildren. My former son-in-law, Doug Dewey, three sisters: Jerri Oliver, Bonnie Jeppson, and Elaine Rodgers and Neda Duncan (deceased).
I want to thank my neighbors for their assistance over the years. My doctors and nurses at Willow Glen in Brigham City and a special thanks to Jenni Lynn, my hospice nurse.
Friends may visit family at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11 to 12 p.m. A private graveside service will be held after.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
