LAYTON – Spc. Ryan Christensen, 29, was killed Tuesday, January 7, 2014 in a vehicular-related accident at Fort Riley’s motor pool in performance of his duties in Fort Riley, Kansas.

He was born July 24, 1984 in Ogden, Utah the son of Ray N. and Shelagh Stoker Christensen.

Ryan was a petroleum supply specialist in the 101 st Brigade Support Battalion, 1 st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1 st Infantry Division.

He was a member of the LDS Church.

Ryan loved camping, hunting and the outdoors.

Surviving are his parents, Layton; brother Troy, London, England; sisters Heather (Kyle) Rodeback, Layton; Misty (Ryan) Raasch, Layton; niece Jaculqulyn Trujillo, nephews, Tyson Trujillo and Zaqch Gerace.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
