Ryan Michael Kimball, 34, of Layton, Utah, passed away at his home on January 15, 2019.
Ryan was born in Libby, Montana on February 28, 1984. He graduated from Layton High School in 2002 and joined the United States Air Force in May of 2003. He served until March of 2011 where he was given an honorable medical discharge from service. Following his time spent in the Air Force, he spent time in Colorado, Utah, California, and Florida.
Ryan is lovingly remembered by his son, Corbyn; mother, Monalee Kimball; brother, Steven (Orrawan) Kimball; sister, Amy (Clinton) Heaps; brother, Benjamin Kimball; sister, Amber (Jeffrey) Wixom; and loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Ryan loved people. He loved his family, friends, and the men and women he served with in the military. Ryan was known for his massive smile, his laugh, his honesty, integrity, his positivity, and his larger-than-life sense of humor. He was always happy and had the energy of ten people. He will be remembered as a friend, brother, son and uncle who was loyal, brought out the best in others, and who stood up for justice despite the risks to his own life. Ryan was courageous, intelligent, and giving. He worried about others welfare before his own. He was, by any definition of the word, a true hero. He gave time and money to those in need. He stood shoulder to shoulder with those that needed a friend. Ryan accepted others for who they were and would not let anyone settle for anything but the best. The love for Ryan continues to pour in from all parts of the world as those that he knew share how much he touched their lives. The world lost “one of the great ones” on January 15, 2019 and the loss will be felt for a very long time.
As a family, and on behalf of Ryan, we wanted to thank those who have given time, money, love, prayers, and their condolences to our family. We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support at this difficult time.
Ryan, we love you. We miss you. You were the best son and brother our family could have ever asked for or wanted. Please never let your light dull. Shine on, Ryan! We will look for you in the stars!
