Ryan S. Lee

Ryan S. Lee SOUTH OGDEN - Ryan S. Lee, “Fabulous R. The Living Dream”, loving husband, father, son and grandpa, died late Tuesday evening, December 8, 2009 at his So. Ogden home surround by his wife and children after his battle with lung cancer. He was born July 8, 1945 to Delbert and Leda Lee. He was 64 years old. He was our constant, our rock and the force behind every gathering and the cause of laughter that was sure to erupt upon his arrival. When a man passes from this life, one could ask, “Did he have passion?” In our lives he was the epitome of it. We love him for the humor that made him so fun to be around, for his love of nature, the outdoors, but most of all, for the love he leaves with us. He was the safety net that made us all feel comforted in times of trial and the one to celebrate our successes and triumphs. During Ryan’s life, he was blessed with a keen mind, quick, sharp wit, and a great attitude about most things. He leaves a legacy among us of close family ties, wonderful friends, a love for the outdoors, and spiritual qualities that we wouldn’t be the same without. This was especially true during the time of his illness. When he could have given up so easily, he endured to the very last second with strength and fortitude that was a hallmark of the man. When Ryan was diagnosed with lung cancer, we prayed for a miracle. We were blessed to have him for an extra year and a half, where we were made profoundly aware that life is not merely a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences, but rather, a tapestry of events that culminate in an exquisite, sublime plan. Ryan leaves behind his soul-mate and eternal companion, Laura Kay Lee; his adoring mother Leda Lee; brothers, Terry (Kathy) Lee, Marlo (Pam) Lee, and Kevin (Nancy) Lee and their families; his eight children, Tiffany McMillan (Tyson), Daren R. Lee (Shawna), Charise Lee, Nikki Lee, Derik R. Lee, Sheena Schramm (Brandon), Tami Bovero (Kirt) and Heidi Woolsey (Mike); and 18 grandchildren who miss him more than he will ever know. He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert S. Lee and sisters, Christy and Susan Lee. Our family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude and love for Dr. Carl Gray and his staff of angels, along with many other patients suffering from cancer that gave love, support and friendship. We also thank Robert, Lexy and the exceptional people from CNS Hospice for their gentleness in caring for Ryan. Funeral services for this great man will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday, December 11 from 6 to 8 p.m., and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Send condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com
