Ryan Nicholaas Sandman

Ryan Nicholaas Sandman passed away from a brain aneurysm on July 8, 2017.

He was born to Sherry Lewis and Gene Sandman on March 14, 1973. He attended Roy Elementary, Country View Elementary, Roy Jr. High School and graduated from Roy High School in 1991.

Ryan worked for West Haven City for Parks and Recreation.

He loved all sports and played hockey nearly all of his life. He loved the great outdoors; hunting fishing, and camping. He had a love for animals and a heart of gold. He loved people and talking to the old and the young. He was very close with his grandparents and was named after his grandfather, George Nicholaas Sodenkamp.

Ryan is survived by his mother and best friend, Sherry McCoy; father Gene Sandman; sister and brother-in-law, Nicole and Brian Wilson; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
