Ryuji “Dick” Hirasuna
Ryuji “Dick” Hirasuna passed away July 21, 2012. He was born October 26, 1939 in Japan to Suzue and Takashi Hirasuna. He was raised in Japan and California. He married Emiko Yamashita in Ogden, Utah in 1965. He came to Utah and started his own business Great Basin Electronics in 1967 and ran it for 40 years. He retired from his own business as an Electronic Technician. Dick enjoyed fishing and camping with his family. He was a friend to all.
Dick is survived by his wife and two sons Jeffrey (Soni), Kevin (Justine) and three grandchildren Kyra, Kobe, and Kindra; brother Toshi, Fresno, California; sister Miyoko Tsukuda, San Jose, California and brother and sister-in-law Hiroshi (Yai) Yamashita, Hooper, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Hiroshi.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Ogden Buddhist Church, 155 North Street, Ogden, UT. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church. Cremation entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all of the employees at Intermountain Hospice Care for their loving care and support.
