Sylvester Arthur Gregerson, of North Salt Lake, Utah, passed peacefully at home of natural causes on Thursday, October 10, 2013. He was born January 5, 1928 in St. George, Utah to Arthur William and Maud Sylvester Gregerson. He graduated from Dixie High School, Dixie College and received Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of Utah. He was married to his wife of 57 years Montess Beverly Mills, on August 12, 1956 and sealed to her in the Salt Lake City Temple.
A man of great business, civic and faith accomplishments, he served in numerous church callings and helped financially numerous missionaries, family members and those in and outside his faith. He also served as President of the local Lions Club and the Utah Home Builders Association. His greatest accomplishment was years of joy with his eternal companion Montess, with whom he created a successful business; traveled the world; danced; went fishing; attended countless Ute and Jazz games; concerts and raised a loving and devoted family.
He is survived by his loving wife Montess; 5 children, Barry (Yvonne) Gregerson, Cynthia (Scott) Cima, Lisa Vilchez, Eugene (Jucara) Gregerson, Steven (Melinda) Gregerson; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Verdawn Hickman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 at the LDS Chapel located at 261 E. Center Street, North Salt Lake, UT. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday October 13 between 6-8 pm at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful and from 9:30-10:30 on Monday prior to the services at the church.
