Sadie V. Candelario
Layton a" Sadie V. Candelario, age 97, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in Layton, Utah.
She was born October 17, 1915 in Talpa, New Mexico, a daughter of Jacobo Vigil and Ascencion Ortiz Vigil. She married Andres A. Candelario, July 21, 1937 in Antonito, Colorado.
She has lived in New Mexico, Colorado, California, and in Layton, Utah for the past 58 years. She worked for Hill Air Force Base where she retired in 1977. She also worked as a housekeeper throughout her life and retired in 1985.
Surviving are her 12 Children, Val (Carmen) Candelario, Huntington Beach, CA; Cordy (Pat) Quintana, Layton; Andy (Amparo) Candelario, Huntington Beach, CA; Lorenzo (Jenny) Candelario, Lodi, CA; Jake (Delsy) Candelario, Layton; Margaret (Baltazar) Morfin, Ogden; Gloria Mora, Salt Lake City; Becky Woodbury, Salt Lake City; Patsy (Paul) Fraley, Layton; Teri (Jose G) Valdez, Clinton; Michael Candelario, So. Ogden; and Pam (Jack) MacKay, Phoenix, AZ; 26 Grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death, husband Andres Candelario, daughter, Olivia Trujillo and son, Jose Benito Candelario.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 S. Chapel Street, Layton. Friends may visit family Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, A Vigil with Rosary will be held at 7 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, So. Ogden.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Apple Village Assisted Living where she lived the last 5 1/2 years for the care and loving kindness they have shown Sadie and the family, as well as A Step Forward Hospice Care during her last few months.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
