Sally Ann Smith Westbroek

Sally Ann Smith Westbroek, 75, beloved wife of Floyd I. Westbroek, passed away peacefully in her sleep, following a brief battle with cancer on Monday, November 5, 2018. Sally was born on August 8, 1943 in Ogden, Utah to Parley “Russell” and Alice “Vilate” Smith. She attended Ogden High School, where she met the love of her life. They married on June 8, 1960, in Ogden, Utah and were later sealed in the Ogden Temple. They have enjoyed 58 wonderful years together.
Sally was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints giving generously of her time and talents. She served in many capacities including Primary President, Cub Scouting, Librarian, and Relief Society Presidency and Compassionate Services Coordinator. Sally’s sense of humor and take-charge attitude will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Sally is survived by her husband, Floyd; five sons, Floyd “Scott” (Cynthia), Michael T. (Marlene), Robert “Robb” S. (Natalie), Ryan L. (Suzanne), and Jason R. Westbroek; her sister, Betty Searle; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Kempster.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Plain City 8th Ward, 2952 North 4200 West, Plain City, Utah 84404. Friends may visit on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., | Ogden, UT 84401
