Sammy Dalao Ninalga

LAYTON a€" Sammy Dalao Ninalga, 101, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011.

He was born on August 4, 1909 in Agoo LaUnion, Philippines the son of Alberto and Genoviva Dalao Ninalga.

Sammy married Velma E. Talbot. They later divorced. He married Aldegunda Lopez on May 19, 1976 in Elko, Nevada.

He retired from DDO and was a Seventh Day Adventist.

Sammy loved fishing, hunting and playing in his band the Manila Serenaders. He was the last survivor of the band.

Surviving are his wife, daughter Cikarda (Mike) Reich, Tucson, AZ; sons Bert, Layton; Frank (Wendy), Layton; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents and four brothers Mac, Tony, Anselmo and Romualdo.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
