Sandra Helena Aurich
SYRACUSE – Sandra Helena Aurich passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the age of 65, surrounded by her loving family, after complications from surgery.
Sandra was born in Boise, Idaho on September 26, 1948 and raised in Rigby, Idaho.
She was married to her eternal companion, Jerry Ray Aurich in the Idaho Falls Temple on October 20, 1966.
She lived in Syracuse for 44 years and was a wonderful member of the Syracuse 7 th Ward. She held several callings in the church, primary being her favorite in which she taught for the last 12 consecutive years, refusing to be released.
She loved everyone she met and was loved by everyone who met her. She would often show her love with a plate of her famous chocolate chip cookies. Many will miss her humor, love, and crazy personality.
She is survived by her husband Jerry, and her seven children: Lisa (Mark) Stephenson, Jason Aurich, Amy Hope, Melissa Aurich, Jared (Natalie) Aurich, Adam (Katie) Aurich, and Logan (Christina) Aurich. She has 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and was a “2 nd Mom” to many. Also survived by two sisters and three brothers, Ron (Louise) Later, Carolyn Hussman, Weston (Betty) Later, Richard (Linda) Later, and Laina (UDel) Taylor. Her parents, Dillon and Linda Later preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse 7th Ward Chapel, 1625 S. 1100 W., Syracuse. Friends may visit family Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Primary Children’s Hospital or the MS Society in her honor.
