Sandra Duncan

May 17, 1947 — April 6, 2018

Our dear beautiful mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on April 6, 2018 with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. She was born on May 17, 1947 to Rex Webster Flint and Erma Irene Thompson Flint of Kaysville, UT.

She spent 40 years working at Hill Air Force Base, before retiring to spend more time with her grandchildren. During her time there she was able to travel the world. She found beauty in all the countries she visited and loved the people she worked with. Her friendships she made over the years meant everything to her. From lifelong friends to sisters they all became family to her.

My mother was the strongest, kindest, most giving person I have ever known. She taught me to fight for the underdog and to always pursue my dreams. She gave to every charity under the sun whether it was buying a goat for a family in need, or saving the newest endangered animal. She acquired her love of gardening from her dad, and could somehow make anything grow. She loved to watch birds and butterflies, and was always excited to see one she hadn’t before. She taught her children and grandchildren selflessness, and to see the beauty in everything around them.

She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Duncan, and son-in-law Sean Gough (Aubrey, TX.), daughter-in-law Tammy Maylin Duncan (Roy, UT), five beautiful granddaughters, Tayler, Alexis, and Kylie Gough (Aubrey, TX.) and Kelsie and Kendra Duncan (Roy, UT).  Preceded in death by her son Derek Duncan, her mother and father, and brothers Scott Flint and Michael Flint.
