Sandra Dee Reed Glanville

May 12, 1953 — January 21, 2025

Sandra Glanville, our beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at age 71 on January 21, 2025, at her home in Ogden, Utah.

Sandy cherished family and friends. She is eternal companion and sweetheart to Kelley Glanville. Mother to Heather Call (Joseph), Misty Steadman (Kevin), Alexander Glanville (Clarece), Dorian Glanville, and Nicholas Glanville (Ashlee). Grandmother to Daniel, Charlotte, Samuel, Elisabeth, Aleister, Elias, Calliope, Donna, Jacob, Magnus, Sarah, Ryan, Vivian Grace, Elijah, William, Malkolm, and Tyler. Geat-grandmother to Melody. Daughter to Frank Allen Reed Jr and Patricia Eloise Arrowsmith. Sister to Larry Reed, Micco Lynette, Lorna Hudson, Matthew Reed, and Minami Pennington. In-law to the wonderful Glanville family. And a friend to everyone who would have her.

Sandy was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was part of many Primary and Relief Society Presidencies, and activity committees. She cherished the sacred experiences from her life, including being sealed to her sweetheart in the Oakland California Temple 51 years ago.

Sandy’s father was in the civil service, so she grew up loving and exploring the world. She lived everywhere from the beach to the French countryside to an American cattle ranch and attended local schools in many countries. She spent time living in Texas, Hawaii, Okinawa, Japan, California, France, Guam, Oregon, and Wisconsin. She raised her family in Oregon, Maine, and Utah.

Sandy loved music and singing! Through her youth and young adulthood, she was always a part of a choir or an a cappella group, leading many of them herself. She adored gardening, flowers, and houseplants, and enjoyed drawing and crafting. She was a collector of pretty things. Sandy loved to travel and had a profound appreciation for the natural beauty of the Earth. She especially enjoyed feeding family at gatherings and being Grandma.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lorna; and daughter-in-law, Ashlee.

Funeral services for Sandy will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Rolling Hills Ward, 1570 East 1300 South, Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment at 2:30 p.m. at East Lawn Memorial, Provo, Utah.

Sandy’s family expresses special thanks to her sister Minami and her nieces and nephew Chantal, Michael, and Tembi. Thank you for being a meaningful part of her life and for your loving support over the last two months. Thank you also to the angelic nurses and aids of Intermountain Hospice.
