Sandra Baer Johnson our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away at the age of 77 on August 29, 2011 at the Sunshine Terrace in Logan after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born July 30, 1934 in Lewiston, Utah to Ken and Helen Baer. She graduated from North Cache High School and married her high school sweetheart, W. Bart Johnson on June 25, 1952 in the Logan LDS Temple. They were proud parents of four children, Barbara, Alan, Brian and Jill.
Sandra worked for the Bell Telephone Company in Logan as an operator. She also worked as a cook at Sunset Elementary and North Davis Jr. High School. She loved playing the piano and organ.
There are many trips down memory lane of mother taking family trips to California, camping and boating at Flaming Gorge and Bear Lake. Also attending various sporting events of her children and grandchildren and having fabulous Christmas Eve''s at her home.
The family is left with so many wonderful memories, including her wonderful chocolate chip cookies, brownies, cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning and her macaroni salad.
She really enjoyed her 77th birthday celebration with her family and friends a month before her passing.
She is survived by her children, Barbara (Kim) Christensen, Richmond; Alan (Julie) Johnson, Layton; Brian Johnson, Syracuse; Jill Hale, Vacaville, CA.; and 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are two her sisters, Sonja (Ken) Schiess of Grace, ID; Mary (Ron) McBride, Mt. Sterling, UT; and a brother Kenneth (Linda) Baer of Logan.
