Our sweet mama, wife, grandma, sister, and friend joined her loved ones in Heaven on Sunday, June 16, 2024, after battling MS for more than 40 years.
Sandy was born on March 24, 1952, at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma to John Phillip and Donna Poage Lannefeld. She was the youngest of four children.
Sandy graduated from Roy High School. She met her husband Steve on a blind date, and they were sealed in the Ogden Temple. They’ve spent the last 51 years together.
She worked at various places throughout her life, but her favorite job was working as a demo lady for Sam’s Club where she met lifelong friends.
Sandy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her greatest calling was serving in the Young Women’s program.
She loved her grandkids and supported them in all their activities. She loved to travel with her husband and friends. And most of all she loved celebrating holidays and hosting friend parties.
Surviving is her devoted husband, Stephen Morgan, Layton; children, Jeff (Jenn) Morgan, Chandler, AZ; Cydnee (Kelly) Taylor, South Weber; and Lori (Nate) Bruce, Layton; grandchildren, Brendan and Ryland Morgan, Chloe (Austin) Noorda, Faith and Easton Gertge, Tyson and Whitney Taylor, Kylan (Garrett) Matthews, Lundyn and Forde Bruce; and one great-grandson, Brooks Noorda; siblings, Steve (Shirley) Lannefeld and Sharon Thomas; and many other loved ones.
Preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Susan Franks; and her grandson, Hunter Gertge.
