Sarah Marie Kanzler Hammarstrom

Sarah Marie Kanzler Hammarstrom, 68, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

She was born November 6, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of Frederick Carl and Roxie Rowena Wilkinson Kanzler.

Sarah married Richard Emil Hammarstrom on September 6, 1958 in Los Angeles, California.

Sarah was a lifelong dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served willingly in many of the church organizations.

She loved genealogy, sewing, craft projects but most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband Richard Hammarstrom, Kaysville, Utah; children: Richard Jr. (Eileen), Manteca, CA; Julie (David) Crockett, Manteca, CA; James (Kristi), Danville, CA; B. David (Karen), Providence, RI; Brent, San Leandro, CA; Stephen (Celeste), Ripon, CA; Glen (Elaine), Modesto, CA; 25 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Kanzler and granddaughter, Julia Hammarstrom.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Crestwood Ward, 1039 E. Crestwood Road. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 11, 09 at 10 a.m. at the Park View Cemetery, French Camp, CA. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at PL Fry Mortuary, 290 No. Union Road, Manteca, CA.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Primary Children''s Hospital, 100 No. Medical Drive, SLC, Utah 84103.
