Sarah Jean Coleman Jackson
OGDEN – Our beloved mother and grandmother, Sarah Jean Jackson, 75, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 following a valiant battle with an extended illness.
She was born February 21, 1935, in Boulder, Utah, to Albert Jay and Francis Moosman Coleman. She spent her early years in Boulder and the family later moved to Teasdale, Utah.
Sarah married her sweetheart, Don W. Jackson, on March 25, 1950 in Ely, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home and raised their family in Harrisville, Utah.
She had been employed by Cream O’ Weber, Kids Klothes, and Willis Co.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed teaching Primary for many years.
Sarah was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her life was centered around her family. She also enjoyed spending time in the mountains, camping, deer hunting, reading and gardening.
She is survived by her children: David (Jeaneil), Mountain Green; Jerry (Kim), Logan; Doug (Tammie) Loa; and Donna (KC) Poulter, Ogden; 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Sarah is also survived by her sister, Thelma Johnson, and two brothers, Lloyd (Sarah) Coleman and Gordon (Lucinda) Coleman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, two brothers, two sisters, and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 15 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, 2850 North 450 East, North Ogden, UT.
