Scott Lee Riddle

August 6, 1954 ~ December 17, 2018

After walking his beloved dogs, which he did daily, rain or shine, Scott Lee Riddle passed away suddenly after an illness on December 17, 2018.

He was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on August 6, 1954 to Kenneth and Colleen McPherson Riddle. At the age of 7, his mother married Clyde H. Ewell. From that point on Clyde raised him as his own.

He graduated from Ben Lomond High where he excelled in football and wrestling. He then attended Weber State University where he continued his love of playing football and graduated with a Bachelor’s Science in Social Work.

After receiving his degree he began working for the State of Utah as a Social Worker and retiring as a Juvenile Court Probation Officer in 2017. One of his proudest accomplishments was the Visions Program, he jointly developed, that worked with repeat juvenile offenders teaching them lifelong skills that included, nutrition and gardening, as well as giving back to the community and was a popular alternative to picking up trash along the highway or shoveling buffalo dung on Antelope Island. As a young boy, Scott enjoyed fishing and hunting with his dad.

He loved playing baseball and watching the New York Yankees play. In his later years, his enjoyment came from sharing his life with his wife. He found and married his sweetheart Leanna Greenhalgh on November 14, 1997. He was a loving and tender husband. He felt blessed in his life and was always paying it forward.

Surviving are his loving wife, Leanna, of Roy; his sister, Tammy Broderick, of Grace, ID; his sons, Shawn, Kelly, Michael, and Brady; daughters, Amity (Daniel) Cochrane, and Heather Kelsey; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; along with a loving and extended family. He was preceded in death, by his parents and brother, Thad Mace Riddle.
