Scott Lewis Satterlee

Scott Lewis Satterlee passed away January 1, 2011 after a lifelong, courageous battle with Diabetes. He was born December 17, 1958 to Arnold M. and Margith Lewis Satterlee of Sunset. Scott graduated from Clearfield High where he lettered in football and wrestling. He loved sports; he also played tennis and baseball, winning trophies in each. He married Marsha Gaye Whipple and they became proud parents of one son, Ryan Scott Satterlee. Later they divorced.

He was employed with Max Factor and FRAM, receiving awards from both companies. Scott coached Little League Football and Jr. Jazz Basketball. He managed Wasatch Super League Basketball in South Ogden, inspiring many young athletes in the Wasatch Area. Scott was an avid Magic The Gathering card player for 15 years and enjoyed playing in tournaments throughout the state. He had a gift for detail displayed in games and statistics. In spite of Scott''s own health conditions, he was caring and willing to help anyone that needed it. His remarkable sense of humor helped him throughout the many trials in his life. Scott loved animals and will be greatly missed by his best friend, Tyson.

Scott is survived by his son; Ryan (Ritta) Satterlee, mother; Margith Satterlee, sisters; Carol (Jun) Horiuchi, Jill (Duane) Singleton, and Sandy Wood (Roscoe Cunningham). He is also survived by three nephews; Chris, Brett and Brian Singleton and niece; Haley Horiuchi. Scott is preceded in death by his father, Arnold Satterlee.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Inurnment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
