Sean Dwight Henderson
“Hendo”
October 8, 1968 ~ November 12, 2017
Sean was born on a sunny afternoon, on October 8, 1968 to Dwight L. and Annette Cazier Henderson at 1:08 p.m. at the Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah. He was a beautiful boy, with bright blue eyes and an amazing smile. That smile faded through the years as he struggled with many things, but his memory will live in our hearts every day.
He is survived by his siblings: Wendy (Mike) Gray, Dave (Lori) Henderson, Tyler (Lynsey) Henderson, and Heidi (Brian) Ostrup. Sean is survived by his sons, Dallas and Hunter; his daughter, Hollie, and his three grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who he loved.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dean and Melva Henderson and Blaine and Eva Cazier.
Throughout his life he worked in sales and construction and was a skilled heavy equipment operator.
Sean had an amazing personality and a fun sense of humor. He knew how to make people laugh and had a warm, tender heart, and could make friends easily. He always looked out for the underdog.
Through his struggles, Sean was able to do much good in the Utah State Prison where he made many friends both among the inmates who he served and especially through the volunteers who served and loved him unconditionally in return. Sometimes Sean was broken…we are all a little broken…but broken crayons still color.
Sean’s testimony of Jesus Christ never wavered. He never questioned or denied his love for the Savior. He never stopped praying and hoping for a better day.
Sean’s funeral will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Washington Terrace 7th Ward, 4900 South 300 West. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Sean’s mortal mission is now complete. He is on a new journey and is finally at peace.
Until we meet again–we love you Sean–
Our Son, Brother, Father, and Friend.
