Semon Joseph Sosa
On Wednesday, January 6, 2021 our angel gained his wings at the age of 81, peacefully at home.
Semon was born on September 16, 1939 in McPhee, Colorado to Frutosa Romero and Fernando Sosa. In 1968, he met the love of his life Lela Lujan. They were married, and raised their two kids Shawn Sosa and Tami Martinez.
He was a groundskeeper at Ogden City Cemetery, from where he later retired.
Semon had a passion for vintage cars, and going to car shows. During the summer months, he would often take his wife and family to these shows. Anyone that knew Semon knows how much he loved entering his own cars, knew exactly where to find him, and that he was winning trophies. He loved his cars just as much as he loved his family.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters, and his best friend Kay Day.
Semon is survived by his wife Lela; children Shawn (Rhiannon), Olivia Miranda and Tami (Elaine); eight grandkids- Leticia Sosa (Preston McCubbin), Mario (Sasha) Sosa, Shaliyah Watson, Chanell Sosa, Alonzo Sosa, Jorge, Abel and Neveah Sosa; five great-grandkids- Orlando, Izaiah, Anniyah, AnnaLeigh, and Azayleah; four brothers, two sisters, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary , 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit the family Wednesday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
The family would like to give special thanks to our Bristol Family, especially Jessica, Sunny, Kristi, and all the helpful CNAs, for taking amazing care of Semon.
