Shakeel Ilyas Ahmed Din

Shakeel Ilyas Ahmed Din passed away at his home in Layton, Utah on Saturday January 13, 2024 at the age of 47.  He was born May 26, 1976 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan to Ilyas Ahmed Din and Iqbal Begum.  He has lived in Layton, Utah for the past three years.

He married Sundas Khan on November 19, 2019 in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

Shakeel has a bachelor’s degree in commerce and he was employed as a manager in the banking  industry.  He was a Born Again Christian.  He enjoyed playing and watching basketball.

He was preceded in death by his father Ilyas Ahmed Din and mother Iqbal Begum. 

Shakeel is survived by his wife Sundus Khan, his brother Kanwal Shahzad, sisters, Sumble Javed Sadiq and Dimple Kanwall Mall.

Funeral Services will be held Friday January 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Miracle Rock Church, 131 North 900 West, Salt Lake City, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Thursday January25 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service.

Interment, Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
