Shalese Angel Morgan De La Cruz

Shalese Angel Morgan De La Cruz, a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend peacefully passed away the morning of May 23, 2023 at the age of 48. Awaiting in heaven with open arms was her mother Robin.

Shalese was born in Ogden, Utah on September 19, 1974. "Chile" as many knew her, was blessed with the gift of gab in both English and Spanish. She truly had a heart of gold and was loved by all.

Shalese's greatest blessings and her reason for living are her 3 children: Austin De La Cruz, Shyane De La Cruz and Brooklynn De La Cruz. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Frank (Kristin) Hughes and Brayden (Carly) Thomas, siblings and family from her father’s side and her ex-husband, Marcial De La Cruz; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Shalese was preceded in death by her mother, Robin Morgan and her father, Reynold Steggell.

Although Shalese was here on earth for only a brief amount of time she impacted and enriched many lives.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. with a time of sharing at 2 p.m.
