We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Shanda Christensen Ludlow, who passed away on August 15th in Orlando, Florida, while on a business trip. She lived in Layton, Utah, with her husband and three children.
Shanda was born on December 17, 1972, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to GlenEarl and Faline Christensen. She graduated from Layton High School in 1990 and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Montana in 2003. Shanda married Jason Ludlow on June 26, 1999, at the Salt Lake City Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Throughout her life, she lived in various places, including Colorado, New York, England, Romania, Nevada, California, Montana, and Utah.
A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Shanda served in numerous callings, including the Primary Presidency, Relief Society Presidency, and as a missionary in the Romania Bucharest Mission. She also served in Ward Music, as Chairwoman, and many other roles. Shanda was deeply involved in her career with JetBlue Airlines, where she served in many leadership capacities. She was deeply passionate about her work at JetBlue and cherished the relationships she built with her colleagues. She had a profound love for reading, traveling, and making lasting memories with her family and friends.
Shanda is survived by her husband, Jason Ludlow; her son, Tegan; her daughters, Janica and Kierra; her parents, GlenEarl and Faline Christensen; her siblings, Milaka (Doug) Stringham, Cortney (Misty) Christensen, Keturah (Jessie) Moller, Malauna (Ryan) Gibby, Colle Christensen, Colter Christensen, and Carson (Breann) Christensen; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Conan Christensen.
Shanda loved flowers. Memorial flowers may be sent to Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main St. Kaysville, Utah.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday August 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Shoreline Stake Center, 400 S. 2200 W. Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Friday August 23, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary located at 400 N. Main St. in Kaysville, Utah and Saturday from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the church.
