Shannon Marie (Reed) Croft

MARRIOTT/SLATERVILLE a€" Shannon Marie Reed Croft, 68, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at her home.

Born July 16, 1942 in Devil''s Slide, Utah the daughter of Louis and Marie June Wright Reed. Shannon was reared and educated in Morgan, graduating from Morgan High School in 1960.

Shannon married Raymond Earl Croft on May 28, 1965 in Elko, Nevada. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1999.

She was a member of the LDS Church.

Shannon''s son Randy was adopted by her mother and raised with his uncle as an adopted brother. For many years she lovingly helped care for her nephew, Aaron, who had special needs.

She loved playing the guitar while singing country songs, sewing, and vacations at her Idaho cabin near Liberty Canyon. Last June she attended her 50 year class reunion in Morgan. Shannon had a great time.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are her son, Randy Burgess, Ogden; grandson, Christopher Burgess, brother, Stanley Burgess, Ogden; and nephew, Aaron Burgess.

Preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at North Morgan Cemetery. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
