Shannon Brewer Larsen
May 22, 1943 ~ January 16, 2022
Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Shannon Brewer Larsen, left this world on January 16, 2022. She was called back home by her Heavenly Father, after a two-year valiant battle with cancer. She was born May 22, 1943 at the old Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah to Marion C. and Lyle C. Brewer.
She lived a full life, dedicated to her children, family and friends. She loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served faithfully in the Relief Society, as a Sunday School Teacher and as a Ward Librarian.
Shannon learned the trade of a tailor, with a successful career working at ZCMI, Kuppernheimers, Quality Cleaners, Mr. Mac’s, and starting her own business. While working and raising three children, she made time to go back to adult night school to receive her diploma. She was very creative and talented in her crafts and in her unique talent of crocheting afghans. She loved to serve and to be in service. She volunteered first at the South Ogden Senior Center and then at the Washington Terrace Center combined over 3000 volunteer hours.
She was married in 1963 to Kenneth L. Bailey where they had three children and were divorced in 1978.
Shannon is survived by her three children, Lynnette (Larry) Brown Davis, Kenneth W. (Jane) Bailey, and Jaysen (Lenard) Bomba Bailey; six grandchildren, Zachery Allen, Andrew (Ashley) Allen, Tawny Johnson, Cody B. (April) Bailey, Kenneth W Jr. (Jennifer) Bailey, Russell A. Bailey; nine great-grandchildren, with additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren through her extended families and many nieces and nephews; siblings, Karen (James) Schofield, Robert B. (Nalla) Brewer, Keith B. (Kathleen) Brewer, Ken C. (Arleen) Brewer, Russell M. (Julie) Brewer, and Dean C. (Annette) Brewer. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Marion and Lyle; and niece, Rebecca Schofield.
Our family wishes to express their appreciation and thanks for all those who touched her life and for those who helped our mother make her way back home.
