Shanon Marie Heydorn

Shanon Marie Heydorn, 46, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at home in her sleep.

She was born August 5, 1967 in Prescott, Arizona, a daughter of William Lewis Heydorn, Jr and Mary Linda Crose Heydorn.

Shanon grew up in Layton and graduated from Layton High School in 1985, with honors.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She worked for the IRS for over 20 years. More recently, Shanon worked as a Customer Service Representative for Bio Express and tax preparer for Liberty Tax Services. She volunteered during the 2002 SLC Winter Olympics. She enjoyed scrapbooking, bowling, and watching movies. Her greatest joy was being with her family, helping others and she was extremely organized in every aspect of her life. Most of all, she loved and adored her nieces and nephews; and family of three puppies, Tamali, Chico, and Bella. They all loved spending time with her.

Shanon is survived by her parents, Willie and Linda, Clinton; two brothers, Clark Mahaffey, Mesa, AZ; Mark Heydorn, Clinton; one sister, Audra (Jeremy) Milligan, Ogden; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
