SHARON LEE BARTLESON
1939-2018
Sharon Lee Ferrell Bartleson, 79, passed away in the early morning hours of May 15, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born April 11, 1939 in Wenatchee, Washington, a beautiful daughter of James Anthon and Almira Oliver Ferrell. She grew up learning how to work hard and have fun with two mischievous brothers and four fun-loving sisters. At 16, Sharon met the love of her life, a handsome cowboy who had come to work on her father’s cattle ranch. Jim captured her love and attention more than enough for her to faithfully wait for him to return from his mission and they were sealed for time and eternity in the Manti Temple on July 19, 1958. Their legacy together will forever be remembered as one of true love and never-ending adoration for each other.
Together, Jim and Sharon had many adventures across the country as they raised their four boys. Sharon was always a strong support to Jim and the boys in all they did. Her love never faltered as she taught those boys life-long lessons. Even in times of trial, Sharon stayed strong in her faith and served others always. Sharon blessed countless lives with her unwavering example of faith, kindness, joy, Christ-like love and trust in the Lord. We will never forget how special she made each of us feel when we were around her.
Sharon is survived by her sweetheart, James L Bartleson; her sons Robert L (Kate), Ronald K, and Niles J (Denalee); her grandchildren- Bobby, Cherie, Erron, Carissa, Jimmy, Kit, Jonathan, Brett, Austin, Brittney, Cj, and Kori; as well as 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Richard, grandson Brandon, and beloved son James Lee.
A graveside service will be held May 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Riverton City Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
In lieu of sending flowers, the family suggests donating to the Jamie Lee Foundation, set up in honor of Sharon's beloved son who passed away in February of 1977. The foundation provides assistance to low income and disabled people and supports research and education for disabilities and relief from symptoms associated with disabilities.
