OGDEN - Sharon Lynn Floe Ernst Beech passed away Monday, July 14, 2008 in Ogden, UT. She was born October 19, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Merton and Birdie Ringland Floe. She was reared and educated in Eau Gallie, Florida along with her older brothers Jerry and Verne.

She married Marvin Charles Ernst on June 16, 1956 in Los Angeles, California and they were later sealed for time and eternity in the Los Angeles LDS Temple on June 14, 1969. Marvin preceded Sharon in death in 1991, after 35 years of marriage, which produced 7 children and 18 grandchildren. In 1994, Sharon married Basil Beech and during their 14 years together, which were joyous and fulfilling, they resided in Ogden.

Sharon was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, of which, she had many. She enjoyed serving others and was active in her community as well as serving the Lord in many capacities. Her real enjoyment came when she served as Activities Director as she loved the fellowship and laughter she provided to others. Sharon and Basil served a mission in 1999-2001 in the inner city of Ogden.

Sharon served as the California Director of Eagle Forum, Executive Director of the Community Against Domestic Violence in Elko, Nevada and was active in the Republican Party and local politics.

Sharon is survived by her husband and companion Basil Beech of Ogden, UT; sons Verne Ernst of Duluth, GA; Matt Ernst of Farmington, MO; Jerry Ernst of Bonham, TX; and daughters Paige Anderson of St. George, UT; Courtenay Ernst of McDonough, GA; and Sunny Smart of Meridian, ID; as well as numerous grandchildren.

Her parents, brothers Jerry and Verne Floe, husband Marvin Ernst and eldest son Mark Charles Ernst, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Country Hills Ward Chapel, 1401 Country Hills Drive.

Friends may call at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday at the ward chapel from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Provo City Cemetery.
