OGDEN a€" Sharon Anderson Belnap, 80, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 of natural causes.

Sharon was born in Ogden Utah, on June 15, 1930, the last of the eight children of Roscoe Joseph and Diantha Jane Robbins Anderson. She was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School in 1948. She also attended Weber College.

She married Donald E. Belnap on June 12, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with six children, 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of her life and she cherished each one of them. Sharon was a kind, graceful lady who possessed a keen sense of humor and had many wonderful character traits. Sharon was a fabulous cook and candy maker. She enjoyed decorating her home during the holidays, watching romantic movies and she loved her animals.

Sharon was a resident of Ogden. Following the passing of her mother, she and her family moved to California for 12 years living in Bakersfield and Granada Hills. Upon returning to Ogden, she worked as a telephone operator at the Defense Depot Ogden and McKay-Dee hospital. She also worked as a receptionist for Dr. Paul Southwick at the Ogden Clinic until her retirement.

Sharon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a testimony and love of the gospel of Jesus Christ. During her lifetime she served in many callings including the Primary, the Young Women and in the Relief Society, where for a time she served as Relief Society President. She loved to provide service wherever she could.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Donald E. Belnap and her children Stephanie (David) Jay of Farr West; Cynthia Belnap of Layton; Don (Mary) Belnap of Ogden; Jill (Christopher) Southwick of St. George; Lisa (Don) Brickey of Orem; and Adam (Natalie) Belnap of Ogden; 22 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two brothers in law, Duane Nay and Ralph Swenson and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, two brothers and their spouses, Dale and Betty and John and Sylvia Anderson and five sisters and their spouses, Donna & Vernon Taylor, Anna Mae Nay, June and Alfred Favero, Betty & Gilbert Reese and Shirley Swenson, preceded Sharon in death. Funeral services will be held Saturday September 4th at 11 a.m. at the Shadow Valley Ward Chapel, 5191 Old Post Road.

Family and friends may greet her family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., and Saturday at the Ward Chapel 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral services.

Interment will be at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
