Sharon R. Hurst, 73, of Clinton, Utah passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Country Pines Assisted Living.

She was born July 21, 1943 in Murray, Utah, a daughter of Ellis and Annie Wood. She grew up in the Clearfield area. She graduated from Davis High School.

On September 20, 1973, Sharon married William “Bill” Hurst, Jr. in Clearfield, Utah. She took pleasure in watching the Denver Broncos and Utah Jazz with Bill.

Sharon loved being a volunteer with Ogden City Police and Davis Hospital. She was a member of Elks and enjoyed many years bowling with Bill.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Ellen (Mark) Blakley, Roy; Kelly Wilkinson, Ogden; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; brother Odell Wood, Clearfield; sisters, Valaine Lepchenshe, Chubbock, ID; Janice Wray, Richmond, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and three sisters, great-grandson, Joseph Martinez and son, Scott.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
