Sharon Jo Whitaker Mayberry

November 4, 1939 ~ March 22, 2015

Sharon Jo Whitaker Mayberry, 75, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2015.  Sharon was born on November 4, 1939 in Ontario, Oregon, to Ronald Goddard and Laura Johnston Whitaker.  Sharon graduated with a Bachelors degree in Education from BYU. She taught at Ben Lomond High School and Steven’s Henager College.  Sharon enjoyed teaching, cared about her students, and made learning an enjoyable experience.

Sharon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Relief Society Chorister.

She was blessed to have Marthann Reese take care of her for the past five years; in turn giving Sharon two beautiful grandkids she called her own, Tykston and Kaydance

Sharon is survived by Karen Mayberry, Kent Whitaker, Barabara Whitaker, Carol Deland, and Keith Whitaker.  She was preceded in death by David Mayberry, Ronald and Laura Whitaker, and Wayne Mayberry.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
