Sharon Palmer

Sharon Palmer, 50, passed away Thursday, October 17th, 2013. She was born December 8, 1962 in St. George, Utah. Sharon grew up in Sugar Salem, Idaho on a 10 acre hobby farm with her seven brothers and sisters where she especially loved to care for and ride her horses. She married her sweetheart, Reynold Palmer and was sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Thirty two years later, he is still her knight in shining armor. Together they followed the Army to Minnesota, Washington, and finally Utah. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Sharon loved children and had a natural ability with them. Her passion to love and care for them was instinctive. Everybody gravitated towards her. Her laughter was infectious and she had a spontaneous sense of humor and a quick wit about her that constantly brightened every room. She made life fun and exciting and was often thought of as the life of the party. Sharon received a BS in Nursing from WSU and was currently working to finish her Master''s Degree. She was a tremendous nurse and loved all those she worked with and the patients she served. Her calling in life seemed to be centered on caring for others. Sharon was an active member of the LDS church where she served in many church callings including Primary President and Relief Society President. She loved serving in her callings and often times went above and beyond her expected duties. Sharon is survived by her husband, Reynold Palmer of Clinton, her four children: Wyatt (Amanda), Cole (Kyra), Shalee (Andy), and John Palmer; four grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by her parents, Jerald and Mary Ann Oldham and seven siblings. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 23rd at 11 a.m. at the North Clearfield Stake Center, 151 North 1000 West, Clearfield. The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Parker, Idaho.
