Sharon Kay Parker CLEARFIELD – Sharon Kay Parker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Monday January 28, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Scranton, Iowa on December 26, 1937 and moved to Northern Utah in her twenties where she remained throughout the rest of her life. Sharon married Steven Parker on September 12, 2003, where she embraced her new extended clan. She loved her family above all else and spent her life taking care of them. She enjoyed camping and the outdoors, traveling the roads in their motor home, and talking to her many friends. She volunteered countless hours with the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are her husband, Steven Parker of Clearfield, sons Ronald Stuart of Roy, Daniel (Kimberly) Stuart of Riverdale, David (Vicky) Stuart of Clearfield, step-sons Steven (Sherry) Parker of Centerville, James Parker of Clearfield, Lance (Gretchen) Parker of Roy, brother Larry (Ann) Culver of Central City, IA, sister Cindy (George) Swanson of Marion, IA, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by Grandma and Grandpa Culver, daughter Lisa Ann Stuart-DeVoe, and granddaughter Ashley Stuart. Sharon will always be remembered as a spirited redhead who always stood her ground, loved her family fiercely and fought a brave fight to the end. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
