Sharon Dickson Piz

Sharon Dickson Piz, 83, was reunited with her parents and older brothers on March 19, 2017.  Sharon was born in Heber, UT and raised in Salt Lake City where she met and married Ernest John Piz.  After 4 years together they moved to Ogden where they raised a family and she lived the rest of her life.

Sharon worked at the Mckay-Dee Hospital, Ogden Clinic, and then the IRS from where she retired to pursue her dancing hobby fulltime.  She loved music, square dancing, round dancing, and spending winters in her Arizona condo and summers in Utah.  She also enjoyed travelling, and went all over the U.S.  to dancing conventions, and traveled internationally to Europe several times as well as to China and Egypt.

Sharon is survived by her younger brother, Keith Dickson; sons, John Piz and David Piz and their spouses, Kris and Annette; grandchildren, Michelle, Celestina, Mike D, and Mike J; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family is grateful to IHC Hospice for their compassionate end-of-life care, and wants to extend special thanks to the staff at Brookdale North Ogden for Sharon’s outstanding care for the past two years and especially the last week of her life.  They all became like family.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
