Sharon Boren Schory

September 29, 1956 - June 27, 2015

Sharon Boren Schory peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Cibolo, Texas. It is difficult to summarize her life in a few short paragraphs, but we’ll do it anyway.

She was born on September 29, 1956 in Pendleton, Oregon to Lenn J and Marie Bramall Boren. She graduated from Roy High School and LDS seminary. Sharon earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Weber State College.

She married David Alexander Schory on June 20, 1981 in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Sharon loved music, her family, and her faith. She was an accomplished pianist, a loving mother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed her numerous church callings in Young Women’s, Primary, Relief Society and many more that she fulfilled throughout her life. She was the first sister missionary from the Roy 13th Ward, and had the opportunity of loving and serving the people of the Lisbon, Portugal Mission.

As a military spouse, she and her family lived in Germany and throughout the U.S. She was known for her thoughtful and caring nature. She had a fun-loving personality, and was a friend to all who knew her. Her nurturing personality provided comfort to those who needed support. Sharon will be missed by her family, her friends, her ward members and her community.

She is survived by her parents Lenn and Marie Boren; her husband David and their three children, Heather (Court) Canterbury, Nathan Schory, and Zach Schory; her grandchildren Braden and Grayson Canterbury; her siblings David Boren, Jonathan (Leslie) Boren, Deborah (Ben) Hunter, Daniel (Rod) Boren, Rebekah (Brian) Pratt, and Joel (Carrie) Boren.
