Sharon Kay Schroeder passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024, in the comfort of her home under the great loving care of David Gessel. She loved David, his care and compassion was her solace.
Sharon was one of three children born to Lloyd and Fern Merino and February 26, 1943, in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Weber High School.
She married Albrecht Schroeder, but later divorced, and never remarried. She had many jobs throughout her life, but really loved her job with the Forest Service here in Ogden.
Sharon enjoyed playing darts and pool, and was on many leagues in both. She loved every moment she had with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was giving and selfless always helping her family.
Sharon is survived by her only daughter, June (Rick) Cooper; her brother, Carl (Theresa) Merino of Sandy, UT; her grandchildren, John (Deborah) Schroeder, Natasha (Joseph) Foster, Timothy (Shalyce) Schroeder, Cassandra Doering; and bonus grandchildren, Tyromel (Brittani) Heath of Ogden; and Amanda Coper of Nevada; and 16 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday form 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
